A Tale of One Family Revisited

A Tale of One Family Revisited
It’s been the big news for the past 72 hours. Another Pastor bites the dust. His accuser claimed he had to reveal the high-profile pastor’s hypocritical lifestyle.
The pastor was actively involved in the campaign against Gay marriages while in the words of the accuser, the pastor was in a gay relationship with him.

I was hurt because my family name is on public show for the wrong reasons. My hurt turned me to the Psalms. Psalm 98 became a comfort of sort.

Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise. Sing unto the LORD with the harp; with the harp, and the voice of a psalm. With trumpets and sound of cornet make a joyful noise before the LORD, the King. Let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. Let the floods clap their hands: let the hills be joyful together. Before the LORD, for He cometh to judge the earth: with righteousness shall he judge the world, and the people with equity.(Ps 98:4-9)

The Psalm calls me to rejoice because God is judging the earth, which includes His people. My grief is slowly gaining joy. God is purifying us by His judgement. He is exposing our sins to reclaim us to Himself. When He has judged us, we will see ourselves as we are in His light.
